If you don't live in Chester, Montgomery or Bucks counties check with your county to see if this program is in place.

The Chester County Department of Emergency Services, in partnership with Montgomery and Bucks counties, want people to sign up for a Special Needs Registry if it would be difficult for them to arrange for their own safety in an emergency.

This program is free, voluntary and strictly confidential. It is designed to help whose who would have difficulty evacuating during a crisis because of physical or cognitive limitations, language barriers or due to a lack of transportation.

Individuals (or their caregivers) are encouraged to register electronically, if possible, by going online to the Special Needs PA website.
