We had a ball celebrating our award-winning outdoor adventure program, local organizations, this wonderful community, and the end of summer. Big thanks were given to our stellar Malvern and Paoli children's librarians, Megan, Stephanie, and Sarah, for administering GO WilMa! registration and for their shared laughs and partnership with Willistown Parks and Rec.
We also gave three cheers to all of our Inspiration Station Hosts including Willistown Conservation Trust, Natural Lands, Historic Sugartown, Paoli Battlefield, Malvern Borough, and East Whiteland and East Goshen Townships.
And, of course, we couldn't have such a beloved community program without our outdoor adventurers and their families!
Last, but not least, we acknowledged the Willistown Township Board of Supervisors who so generously fund this program.
We then awarded GO WilMa! outdoor adventure prizes to thirty five of our explorers. The prizes, of course, were classic indoor board and card games as well as yard games like bocce and ladderball. Special recognition and first choice of prizes were awarded to Kayleigh who has been participating in GO WilMa! since the beginning...way back in 2012! The evening wrapped up with the cha-cha-cha happy birthday song sung live with enthusiasm by the Moondawgs and our park partiers.
In addition to the GO WilMa! ceremonies, the Willistown Country Fair offered Sabatino's Pizza Grille, Scoops N Smiles Ice Cream, Meadow the Magic Bubble Queen, The Great Spaghettini magician, Balloon Jim and Friends, Stacey's Face Painting, Jess' Glitter Tattoo art, live music by The Moondawgs, and Caricatures by Dave.
Guests also enjoyed local community booths including Willistown Conservation Trust, Chester-Ridley-Crum Watersheds Association, Paoli Battlefield, Willistown Community Garden, Natural Lands, Willistown Police Department, and Paoli Hospital.
