Recycling Just Got Easier With RetrievrDid you know up to 85% of clothing goes into landfills every year? Everyone knows how to recycle bottles, cans, cardboard, and plastic, but what about clothing? Willistown is thrilled to announce a new partnership with Retrievr. For a small convivence fee, residents will now be able to recycle used clothing, electronic devices, and more with a simple text message for porch pickup. A huge thank you to our Recycling Commission members for bringing this program to Willistown.

Code Corner Burning is only permitted in Willistown during the following circumstances: - Any fire set for the purpose of training and instructing authorized personnel in firefighting, and training of persons in the use of portable fire extinguishers. - Any fire set for the prevention and control of disease or pests, when approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection.- Any fire solely for organized recreational or ceremonial purposes.- Any fire set in conjunction with the production of agricultural commodities or for agricultural management and conservation practices and protection.

Earned Income Tax Filing Deadline ExtendedThe PA Department of Revenue and the IRS announced that the income tax filing deadline for the final annual return (2020) is extended to May 17, 2021. Accordingly, the local earned income tax filing deadline is extended to match the State and Federal date of May 17, 2021. Customer Benefit Fund CommitteeThe Board of Supervisors has established an ad hoc Customer Benefit Fund Committee to review and make recommendations regarding the upcoming sale of its sanitary sewer system. TOWNSHIP COMPREHENSIVE PLAN UPDATE KICK-OFF MEETING Thursday, April 29, 7 PM Willistown Township is updating our Comprehensive Plan, Guidelines for Growth. The Plan looks at Willistown's history, considers current conditions, and charts a vision for the future including how to grow, develop, and improve facilities and services. The Township is authorized to plan for its future and must to do so according to the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code.
Please register and join us for the Zoom for the plan kick-off public meeting on April 29 at 7 PM. For more, check out our Comprehensive Plan Update page which includes a project timeline and results from our 2020 survey presented in a Township-wide Top Line Report and a Top Line Report by Planning Area. The reports address the survey’s statistical success, discuss the survey approach, supply baseline land use demographics and provide Township resident sentiment.

Willistown Summer Fun Camps - Camp is ON!Great news—Willistown Parks and Recreation Summer Fun Camps are on! We've just heard from Great Valley School District that we can host our camps at Sugartown Elementary School. Weekly camps will offer a variety of recreational activities, sports, crafts, and more for kids in grades K through 5th grade starting the week of June 21 and ending the week of August 8. Camp hours will be 9AM-12PM for half day and 9AM-3PM for full day. Together with Willistown Conservation Trust, Historic Sugartown will explore the connection between preserving the historic village and conserving the surrounding lands in the township of Willistown. Visitors enjoy a guided tour of the beautifully restored 19th-century village including the c. 1880 General Store, the c. 1805 Garrett House, the Book Bindery, the Carriage Museum and more. Malvern Public Library The Malvern Public Library is hosting hosting their first outdoor Book Sale April 30th-May 1st. The sale will take place on the lawn behind the library (facing Channing Ave). Stop by and browse through hundreds of gently used items. Sale is open Friday, April 30th from 11 am to 4 pm and Saturday, May 1 from 11 am to 3 pm.
The Malvern Library is now hosting an ongoing Plant Swap, There will be no set date for it, as it will be an ongoing project. The idea is simple- give a plant, take a plant. Cuttings, seed packets, and small plants are all welcome. Stop by during open public hours: Monday: 4-8 Tuesday: 4-8 Wednesday: 4-6:30 Thursday: 4-6:30 Saturday: 9-4 Paoli Public Library Welcome back to the library! Paoli Library is now open to the public for in-person browsing, holds pickup, and computer use. Hours are limited, so check the website for current hours and restrictions.
You can still get together with friends and neighbors at virtual library events. There’s a different Virtual Trivia Night scheduled every week in May. A Zen Meditation group meets on Saturday mornings via Zoom. Take your preschooler to Instagram Live Storytime on Wednesday mornings.
