You'll also find info on Spotted Lanternfly and tick safety. When you visit Willistown properties,please comply with state recommended practices by wearing a mask when on Willistown property if unable to maintain a 6' distance.

Many people have shared how grateful they are that Willistown Township preserves and trails have remained open throughout the pandemic. One fan declared, "Okehocking is critical to my well being!"

GO WilMa! OUTDOOR ADVENTURE PROGRAM

The all-volunteer Willistown Parks and Recreation Board is looking for an enthusiastic resident to join their team! The Board makes recommendations to the Supervisors on parks and recreation related topics including improvements, programs, planning, and policies. Board members assist Mary Hundt, Director of Parks and Recreation, with park parties and become Park Ambassadors. Board meetings are held the third Thursday of the month at 7 PM. Find out more about Willistown Parks & Rec and other volunteer boards on our website, and please call Mary to discuss the position further at 610-647-5300 x224. Send letters of interest and resumes to the Parks & Recreation Board c/o Mary to mhundt@willistown.pa.us. The Board will review the applications, interview the applicants, and make their appointment recommendation to the Supervisors who make the final decision.

Regular use of hand sanitizer is recommended along with avoiding touching your face, eyes and nose; covering your nose and mouth when coughing and sneezing with a tissue or flexed elbow; and if you are sick, staying at home. 

TICK AWARENESS
It's easy to have fun outside and be safe too! 
Follow the Tick Prevention Tips above and find out more from the PA Department of Health. You can receive free basic testing on ticks found on you and your pets from The Pennsylvania Tick Research Lab. 

SPOTTED LANTERNFLY MANAGEMENT
Please notify Mary of any sightings on Township lands! 
The Spotted Lanternfly has spread throughout Pennsylvania since its discovery in Berks County in 2014. It feeds on the sap of many different plants including grapevines, maples, black walnut, and more. If you see a Spotted Lanternfly on any Willistown trails or in our preserves, please email Mary the location on the property and if you were able to kill the insect.
