Greetings Willistown Parks & Recreation Friends,
Will you join me in celebrating the "Yellow Phase" with the Beatles in their yellow submarine? Our trails and preserves remain open under social distancing requirements, and Rita Reves, Mill, and Greentree Parks remain closed.
Paper copies of the Willistown Township Comprehensive Plan Update Survey will be arriving in Willistown mail boxes in the next few days. The 10 minute-survey will help us prioritize and improve current services, infrastructure, and facilities and plan for future needs. Your opinion matters! The survey is open to residents as well as non-residents. Submit only one survey per household, please. The survey closes July 1st. Take the online survey now.

The invasive Spotted Lanternfly looks like this right now. Please notify Mary of any sightings on Township lands! The Spotted Lanternfly has spread throughout Pennsylvania since its discovery in Berks County in 2014. It feeds on the sap of many different plants including grapevines, maples, black walnut, and more. If you see a Spotted Lanternfly on any Willistown trails or in our preserves, please email Mary the location on the property and if you were able to kill the insect. Check out our Stewardship Bulletin for more information including a monthly management calendar. For questions about the lanternfly, info, and to report sightings, contact Penn State Extension at 1-888-422-3359.
