Fall Greetings, Willistown Parks & Recreation friends. Here's some Breaking Good News :)
PROGRAMS I am happy to announce the addition of Yoga in the Park to our Willistown Parks & Recreation activities! Stay tuned for an upcoming survey regarding fall Yoga in the Park.
And...drum roll please...the fun continues with GO WilMa! Fall 2020! Thanks to our wonderful Inspiration Station Hosts, there will be all new outdoor adventures for kids and their families and friends this fall. Stay tuned for more info. COMPREHENSIVE PLAN SURVEY PRESENTATION Many thanks again to those who took the Comprehensive Plan Update Survey. You may virtually attend the upcoming Planning Commission meeting on October 7, starting at 7:30pm for the first "top flight" survey data summary presentation. Future meetings will present analysis of the data.
SPOTTED LANTERNFLY MANAGEMENT Finally, thank you for reporting Spotted Lanternfly sightings in Township parks, preserves, and trails to me. Many of the trees you see the flies on are "trap trees" and have been treated with insecticide through their roots or from direct spray on the bark. Please feel free to contact me with any questions about the Parks and Recreation Department's Spotted Lanternfly management program. Find out more about the bug here.
As always, I look forward to answering your questions and hearing your suggestions.
Yours in the out-of-doors,
Mary Willistown Township Parks & Recreation Director 610-647-5300 x224 Email
