The customary Township waste events have been canceled for the rest of 2020, due to COVID-19. If you have been saving up sensitive documents for shredding, electronic waste, hazardous household waste (HHW), or tree branches, you have a choice of contacting the organizations listed below, or simply holding onto your items until 2021, when we plan to resume our regularly scheduled events.
For information about yard waste, specific items or bulk item pick-up, contact your individual trash and recycling hauler.
For secure shredding, contact Wiggins Shredding at or any other shredding service you find nearby.
As Chester County residents we’re fortunate to have the Chester County Solid Waste Authority (CCSWA) as a resource for all our waste and recycling questions. The CCSWA also operates the Lanchester Landfill. If you visit the CCSWA website and click on the “Household Hazardous Waste” tab—you will get a list of other municipalities still holding collection events as well as a list of companies that may accept what you’re trying to recycle. You may also contact the CCSWA by phone at 610.273.3771.
Stay healthy and we look forward to seeing you in 2021!
