Sealed bids for the “2020/2023 GROUNDS MAINTENANCE CONTRACT” will be received by the Willistown Township Board of Supervisors until MARCH 27, 2020 at 12:30PM. All bids shall be upon forms furnished by the Township, which may be obtained at the Township offices located at 688 Sugartown Road, Malvern, PA 19355. Electronic bid packets are not available. All bidders are required to attend a mandatory pre-bid meeting to participate in park site visits on Friday, March 20, 2020 at 9:30AM beginning at Okehocking Preserve, 996 Delchester Road, Newtown Square, PA 19073. Bidders must be present at 9:30AM at the entry gate where the informational kiosk is at the west side of the parking lot, rain or shine, and must attend all site visits.
All bids shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of 10% of the bid, made payable to Willistown Township. Envelopes containing bids shall be sealed, marked “2020/2023 Grounds Maintenance Contract” and delivered to:

Sealed bids will be opened and publicly read aloud in the Township meeting room located at 688 Sugartown Road, Malvern, PA 19355 on MARCH 27, 2020 at 12:30PM. Any bid received after the MARCH 27, 2020 deadline of 12:30 PM will be returned to the bidder unopened.
The Project includes the complete grounds maintenance of all Township owned properties. The contract will include mowing, string trimming, shrubbery trimming, ball field maintenance including weeding, wood chipping trails, playground mulch installation; parks sign, landscape bed, and shrub and tree ring maintenance to include mulching and edging twice a year; property weeding, and, leaf removal.
The Willistown Township Board of Supervisors intends to award this contract to the lowest responsible bidder during their public meeting on APRIL 13, 2020 at 7PM. The Township reserves the right to reject any and all bids, or to waive any defects or irregularities on proposal.
