Willistown Historical Commission and Willistown Parks & Recreation are pleased to present a 13-mile, 30-minute historic tour of Willistown as part of the 2022 Chester County Planning Department's Town Tours and Village Walks program. You can check out their full schedule of events here, and brochures will be available while supplies last at Township Administration, 688 Sugartown Road, Malvern as well as Chester County libraries. We are happy to be a part of this county-wide celebration and we extend special thanks to historic Radnor Hunt for hosting our event in their bucolic setting!

Willistown's Acres of Quakers, Native Americans, and Conservationists Tour Description

Willistown Township, founded in 1704, was a part of William Penn's 1684 Welsh Tract. Travel through White Horse, Okehocking, and Sugartown, Willistown’s National Register Historic Districts, hearing about the people, architecture, history, and open space of the beautiful countryside that Willistown is known for. 

Radnor huntWe’ll meet at Radnor Hunt, the oldest active fox hunt in the United States. No, they do not harm the fox! There will be guided tours of Radnor, a few historic cars on display, a parade of the Radnor Hunt hounds, and a conservation station hosted by Willistown Conservation Trust. Our Willistown Township Historic Commission and Parks and Recreation Board members and staff will be happy to try to answer any questions you may have in the Q & A tent. Pre-registration is required and the event is rain or shine. There is no fee to attend. Space is limited.
